So Busy!!! Where to begin?? Finally picked mom up in Gettysburg (LOVE G.Burg) and brought her home where she could resume pulling weeds and planting gardens in PA!! I am so very glad to have her home- so much so that we rewarded her with a new kitten! Yes, just what we needed but you know, she loves kitties and though we will try to have him upstairs, he will likely be occupying her bed and living room more than our space. So, weeding it is! She (we) been planting and such. We have added new gardens to the grounds assuring that next spring she will stay home and not be wandering the countryside as of late.





Rick went to Vegas for a week with B & W for a safety summit. He was able to take in a couple of shows (He REALLY enjoyed David Copperfield), but didn't get out to the desert or Hoover Dam. I was so very glad when he arrived home safe and sound late Sunday night. Matthew was away over the weekend doing his Order of the Arrow (BSA) ordeal. He had a good time and seemed to grow just a wee bit. Upon his return (and Rick's) Alex headed to VA Busch Gardens for the band trip. Gosh- I am tired just writing about it all!!



MATTHEW MAKES ANOTHER SAVE!!!



Our vegetable garden is well planted and up, we have our first cherry tomato in the hanging basket, weed whacking is done, doggy dooley is full, pool is open (also well used), laundry is on the line.....Life is so very good!!!!

Next week we will be heading to Glendale for some camping and a week of sailing camp ( http://www.lakeglendalesailingclub.org/ ) Check out the pics (mostly mine from the past four years) We have such a great time with LGSC and we all LOVE to be on the water! If you know of anyone that is close to this area or wants to camp and sail, this camp runs the third full week of June every summer. It is a wonderful experience for those 8 and up and sure to be the highlight of the summer.

So you can see by the pics that we have been busy (some more than others...Mom and Rick...yes, nobody shoots me in the kitchen constantly!!) It is HOT*HOT*HOT here and we are LOVING it! Trying hard to keep the house cool, not too humid today though. Big dog is in the cellar staying cool and the kitten is in the window on the porch. Peonies are beautiful this year and I can smell them across the yard as I write this blog. I will cut a big bunch for the table later on.
Tonight we will eat out on the deck again, having some jerk chicken (YUMMY!! Thank you Ruth) and asparagus, salad and roasted potatoes- come on down if you get a chance *GRIN*
